Autocad Lt 2014

In the new 2014 release of Autocad lt a new feature I noticed was the tabs at the top showing what drawings were open for better access etc. Today I opened up my Cadd and those tabs are not there. Can anyone tell me how to get them back? Or should I just uninstall and reinstall the program?

thanks AJ

Click on the VIEW Ribbon Tab, it's a big button called FILES TAB in the User Interface Panel.
You can also look up FILE TABS in HELP in LT2014 and in these free videos on youtube:

I am having trouble updating my older 2002 LT .dwg files to 2014 LT.  Even using the "recover" command, they keep coming up "Read only".  Anybody have any hints/solutions as to how to do this?

Hi, if a DWG opens "Read Only" it's usualy a security setting on the file. There have been some problems being reported about being unable to save because the file is being accessed by another session. Most of those have been server related. If you can get the DWG to open, will it let you do a "Save As"?

I can open the "Save as" command, but it will not let me "apply" the change
to a newer version.

Is this were you are getting the read only message?
