Approve warnings in warning window

Approve warnings in warning window

First of all let me tell you that you should solve most warnings in your project and that having many warning greatly reduces the performance of your model.

That being said, there are warnings that are there and will stay there forever, because even though Revit thinks it is wrong, it is not. For example the line that is slightly off axis, just because it is supposed to be. Or the curtain wall and insulation that overlap because the curtain wall and insulation are separate entities and the centerlines overlap. I'm sure there are more examples of warnings that you know are there and approve of being there.

The problem with the warning window is that there is no way to get rid of those warnings and even the numbers change every time you solve another one, so that is not a good way to keep track of them and you go back to the same warning over and over again only to see that it is the one you already agree is there.

What I suggest is to redo the warning windows and add an 'approve' button or tick or something to each warning. Then have 3 tabs in the window for 'all', 'open' and 'approved' so you can keep better track of your warnings.

The functionality already exists in the Coordination Review dialogue, the ability to fix, accept the difference or defer would work equally well with warnings.
