June 19, 2018

AU London kicks off today, chock full of classes and learning sessions, mind-expanding keynotes, interactive exhibits, and receptions for networking with your peers. If you want to discover what lies ahead for the future of making and building, London’s Tobacco Dock is the place to be today.

Can’t be there? You can still get in on the learning. Tune in to the AU London 2018 live stream to see the keynotes from CEO Andrew Anagnost and Director of Robotics within the Office of the CTO, Erin Bradner, along with others. They’ll be discussing the convergence of the manufacturing, construction, and production industries, fueled by new developments in automation and artificial intelligence. They’ll also be talking about how these changes are shaping the future of work and the evolving roles within industry, and how Autodesk is investing in training the workforce of tomorrow.

In the Expo Hall: The Future in Practice
Dozens of projects, case studies, and exhibits will be on display in the AU London Expo Hall, providing unique opportunities to see how peers and colleagues are using the latest digital design and simulation tools. From custom 3D-printed chocolates to Dubai’s groundbreaking Museum of the Future to Goaliebot, a robotic soccer goalie that uses sensors to track and block the ball, you can see firsthand how innovators are doing more, better, with less negative impact on the world.

As well, the Aim93 team is making news with the debut of their Human Powered Vehicle (HPV), designed with the generative design technologies of Fusion 360 Ultimate. As In the Fold reports:

“UK-based Aim93 is aiming to break the world record for a Human Powered Vehicle with a newly designed recumbent bicycle, which they are unveiling this week at Autodesk University London. The small team of engineers believes they can hit 93 miles per hour (mph), significantly eclipsing the current record of 89.6 mph for an HPV. To achieve this, they’re relying on decades of experience and the latest digital design and simulation tools from Autodesk, a team sponsor.”
